Cloud Engineer

  • As a cloud engineer, you play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions
  • You are responsible for ensuring the scalability, security, and reliability of cloud-based systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and efficiency
  • Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud-based solutions based on business requirements
  • Configuration Management: Manage and automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and orchestration using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring tools and practices to ensure system performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
  • Optimize resources based on usage patterns and demand using tools like Splunk, CloudWatch, Athena
  • Security and Compliance: Establish and enforce security best practices, conduct regular audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to troubleshoot issues, provide technical guidance, and support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, processes, and procedures
  • Generate reports on system performance and suggest improvements
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms and their services (compute, storage, networking, databases)
  • AWS experience required
  • 5+ years' experience with automation and configuration management tools like Terraform (required), CloudFormation (required), Ansible (required)
  • 5+ years' experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • 2+ years of experience with serverless computing and microservices architecture
  • 1+ year of experience with DevOps methodologies and tools
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
